During college, I realized more times than not my face was bright red. I, honestly, assumed it was either 1. That adorable guy smiled at me in Chemistry and I just couldn’t control myself, 2. I danced way too hard on the table in that crowded bar or 3. I was in a perpetual state of either drunkenness or sunburn-ness (yes, I am fully aware that’s not a real word). Anyway, years later, and thousands of dollars in products, I have come to the very intelligent conclusion that I have sensitive skin. (Wow, I’m a genius) Being that I have very dry, sensitive skin, I rely on a thick moisturizer and a gentle scrub. I had never tried anything by Skyn Iceland which, honestly, was stupid on my part because the entire line is made for people like me. (Not the drunken me, the sensitive skin me). I tried the Pure Cloud Cream which can hurt the wallet ($75.00 – yikes!), but it turned out to be highly moisturizing and incredibly soothing to my delicate skin. Apparently the cream is great for people who are experiencing some dryness and sensitivity, whether it’s genetic or just laser, peel or weather induced. From the moment I opened the container, I was inhaling the sweetest smelling cream (smells exactly like a creamsicle) and was impressed at how thick and creamy it was. It contains Oat Extract and Aloe to help soothe dry, tight skin and Almond Oil to really moisturize. I was especially stunned at how my skin no longer felt tight even after only a few days of use. The cream sinks in immediately, but doesn’t contain any SPF so you’ll have to combine it with some sun protection. All in all, I’m super happy with Pure Cloud Cream and am definitely making a trip to the mall to check out other items in their line. I am also going to see a travel agent to discuss my newfound passion to visit Iceland. Oh, and I’m cutting back on table-dancing because, well, it never leads to anything good.
