I've been all about trying to get healthier lately. From diet to exercise to the products I use, I'm attempting to incorporate more natural ingredients into my life. (It's sort of going well. Technically, not exercising as much as I want to be is not my fault because I've been working a lot and, well, "The Bachelor" has to be watched sometime...) My health kick has led me to a new brand of products that I'd never tried before - Shē Essential Beauty. Usually I kind of run screaming from so-called healthy products because I haven't had the best experience with them, but Shē is definitely changing my mind on that.
Developed by two licensed acupuncturists and Chinese herbalists, the line is based on the philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine and uses all-natural herbs that are combined with medicinal-grade essential oils. The combination is meant to rejuvenate the skin and harmonize the mind. (And really, who couldn't use a little of those things?)
I tried out a few of their products and while I liked them all, my two favorites were the Facial Serum and the Cuticle Butter. They're both amazing - I've been using them constantly since I got the samples and I really like them. The Facial Serum smells fantastic, which I love because when I'm putting something on my face, the last thing I want is for it to smell synthetic or not fresh. It goes on smoothly and blends easily, leaving my skin feeling really soft and refreshed as it helps to rejuvenate it. It's also filled with vitamins and minerals and is perfect for all skin types, so it's not one of those products that only very specific people can use. Testing out the Cuticle Butter came at the perfect time for me because I'd been noticing that my hands in general (and my cuticles specifically) had been really dry lately. (I blame my two weeks in NJ at Christmas because it was freezing) For all my ridiculous amount of products though, I had nothing that I really thought would help and I kept forgetting to research and buy something. The Cuticle Butter has an uplifting scent from all the organic essential oils - it's so soothing and relaxing that I kind of want it in a body wash, actually. (Hint, hint, Shē Essential Beauty). It's made of all natural butters combined with the oils and Chinese herbs and it sinks quickly into my cuticles. They're definitely less dry than they were before I started using it, and as a bonus, I kind of feel like my nails look better too. It's a win win!
