I really just... love eyeshadow palettes. They make me so happy. And as much as I love all the many, many (many!) nude shadow palettes I've acquired lately, I'm also a little sick of browns and golds. (I know! Who thought this day would ever come?!) So I was super excited when they sent over Laura Geller's Delectables Palette in the Cool shade. I was totally in love with it when I opened it for the first time and I love it even more now that I've used it. It has fourteen shades of baked shadows in it, everything from the browns and golds everyone should have to purples and silvers. It's kind of an all purpose palette because you can do a daytime look with it, but you can also use it to create a smoky look for night. (I'm so partial to the purple smoky eye at the moment - sometimes accented with silver, sometimes not. It's so pretty for winter). The shadows themselves go on wet or dry and look great - they're super pigmented and blend easily. At $45, it's a worthwhile investment. I feel like it's going to be one of those palettes that I use until I hit pan on the shadows and that doesn't happen all that often.
(And in a hilarious coincidence, I did not know that my fellow Product Whore had already written about this palette because I'm lazy and hadn't looked at our site before I wrote this piece. But I'm going to put my review up anyway because I agree with her assessment and I think you all should pick one up. I think this is the only time in Product Whore history this has happened! It's a first!)
Note: A sample of this product was sent to me by a PR representative working with Laura Gellar
