Kiss My Face for Peace on Earth

I am already such a huge fan of Kiss My Face, but when I checked out their Peace Soaps my love for Kiss My Face jumped a bazillion (technical term for "many") notches.  These liquid soaps are absolutely amazing on so many levels.  They are all-natural castile soaps which clean everything  - from skin to countertops to veggies to clothing.  I know it sounds weird, but they really do work.  I have been feverishly cleaning everything around me and this stuff is legit.  I cleaned all my make-up brushes, the stovetop and a couch cushion - all with the Lemongrass Peace Soap!  Which leads me to the fact that this awesome soap comes in four scents - Grassy Mint, Pomegranate Acai, Lavender Mandarin and my favorite Lemongrass Clary Sage.  It's astonishing to me that I can scrub down my cutting board (to a sparkling clean, I might add) and then turn around and use the same soap to wash my skin (without any dryness or residue).  Aside from being the greatest all-around cleansing product ever, Peace Soaps are biodegradable; pH balanced; contain no parabens, SLS, phthalates or artificial fragrances; and 10% of the profits go directly to Seeds of Peace (an organization which strives to bring peace to areas of the world that are in turmoil by teaching children about their neighboring countries - encouraging a future without war).  Give Peace, and all-natural multi-purpose cleansing solutions, a chance!  Retails for $15.99 for 34 oz (and right now they have a special - buy one and get a 17oz free)

I've always avoided buying anything by the brand Kiss My Face, mainly because the name kind of grosses me out. It sort of reminds me of something a really bad blind date would say to you at your door at the end of the night when you're just trying to get rid of him so you can call all your friends and tell them what a loser he was. But the other day I stopped at Gelson's for the first time in months (they may charge nine dollars for strawberries, but damn, their French Turkey sandwich is like the best thing ever) and they had an entire rack of Kiss My Face lip balms at the checkout counter. I was resisting quite nicely until I noticed that they made one in Cranberry Orange. I love that scent. It's by far my favorite candle at Illuminations and I've never seen it in a lip balm before, so of course, I had to buy it. I'm glad I did - at only $3.49, it's a lovely addition to my collection. The flavor is exactly what I wanted it to be, a mixture of tangy orange and tart cranberry, plus it comes with a 15 SPF so it protects your lips when you're out in the sun - a must have these days. And something I didn't realize about the company is that it prides itself on natural, organic ingredients, so the lip balms have no artificial colors or unnecessary chemicals. They also don't test on animals - always nice to hear. In fact, I like the balm enough to plan another trip back to Gelson's to buy the Ginger Mango lip balm because putting those two flavors together intrigues me. And, uhm, while I'm there, I might also get another French Turkey sandwich. It's a win-win trip to the grocery store!
