The Tartest of Masques

June Jacobs is my favorite skin care company that I always forget about.  Do you guys have those brands?  The ones that whenever you use their products, you're like, "This is great!" and then you forget all about them until the next time?  Part of the reason with June Jacobs (at least for me) is that they aren't sold in any stores I shop at, so it's easy to just forget all about them.  Which I always regret because I really love their products.  My latest obsession is their Cranberry Pomegranate Moisture Masque.  It smells soooo amazing, all fresh and fruity, and it has a nice consistency.  It cools down my skin when I apply it and I like that it's a quick process - you only leave it on for 5-10 minutes, so you can do it anytime.  When I rinse it off, my skin is so soft and glowy - it's a really, really great choice for a quick pick me up anytime, but especially now in the colder areas of the country when your skin is getting its first taste of winter.  It also has a ton of anti-oxidants in it to help fight premature aging (and who doesn't want to do that?) It's an all around MVP if you're looking to do a nice, relaxing masque that'll also make you skin look better.  Two thumbs up!

Defy Your Age

I like nothing more than a good anti-aging product because I feel like I put a lot of effort into my skin care routine (even though it changes a lot) so I damn well want to stay looking young (ish...) for as long as possible.  Otherwise, what's the damn point?  But the one area where I'm not quite as diligent is with facial peels - mainly just because some of them take awhile and they can get messy and also, I sometimes just forget about them because they're in my closet and not out in my bathroom.  But then I got my hands on June Jacobs' new Intensive Age Defying Peel Pads and now I'm totally on top of it.  (I expect to look 23 again any day now!)  They're the easiest things in the world to use - you get a jar with 60 pads in it that resemble what I remember Clearasil pads looking like (from my actual youth...) and you just swipe it over your face and neck whenever you want to use one.  The pads are paraben and preservative free, and they're infused with a combination of of lactic, phytic, glycolic acids and retinol to help promote cell turnover and reduce the appearance of fine lines, large pores and skin discoloration.  I have sensitive skin and I've been using these 4-5 times a week without any problems at all, so I feel like I'm getting the best of both possible worlds - a strong anti-aging formula without any harsh chemicals or irritants.  It's pretty amazing.  And I really feel like they're working - it's obviously hard to tell anything about the anti-aging properties since I've only been using them three weeks or so, but my skin is definitely bright and glowing so even just that makes me happy.  I would definitely buy these again after my supply runs out, which is a pretty high compliment considering how much stuff gets sent to me.  (Also, I got carded at a bar last weekend, which I'm just going to pretend is due to these and made me very, very happy.  After that ego boost, I'll never let my supply run out!)

Score Yourself Some Loot

Summer officially ends on Friday, which I'm actually a little excited about because I am so ready for colder weather.  Boots!  Jackets!  Scarves!  But until the chilly weather actually makes it to L.A., I'll just be holding on to one last summer treat - June Jacobs Papaya Purifying Masque.  I just got a sample of it in the mail so I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but I can tell you that it smells AMAZING, all tropical and delicious.  It smells like something you would drink while floating in a gorgeous pool with an ocean view in a luxury resort.  The masque (I feel fancy just typing it with that spelling!) is a combo of papaya's natural fruit enzyme, papain, with extracts of mango and pineapple.  Yum, right?  Well you can smell for yourself because tomorrow (Friday, September 23rd) they're giving away 5000 deluxe samples and it's super easy to grab one for yourself.  All you have to do is "like" June Jacobs Spa Collection on Facebook by going here, enter in your mailing info, and wait for the fruity goodness to be delivered to your door.  Do it early though because I have a feeling the samples will be gone quickly and then you'll miss out and no one wants that.  I think missing out on free stuff is one of the ten deadly sins.  And if it's not, it should be. 

June Jacobs Spa At Home!

I started using June Jacob's Cucumber Reviving Day Cream and Mandarin Polishing Beads and I had to post immediately because they are amazing!  My skin has never looked or felt better.  The day cream smells slightly of cucumber (duh, as the name suggests) and contains milk protein, cucumber oil, pomegranate oil, as well as green tea oil (it all sounds like a new Snapple, doesn't it?).  All of the ingredients make for a medium weight moisturizer which immediately sinks into skin and leaves my face feeling so soft it's crazy.  It is such a wonderful face cream and is especially great for anyone with sensitive and dry skin!  My other new obsession is their Sensitive Formula Mandarin Polishing Beads which do not irritate my skin at all, yet, leave it silky smooth because they have removed all the dead skin.  I can't believe how gentle this exfoliator is and how fantastically well it works.  My blackheads have actually reduced because of this stuff.  A definite must-have for anyone who likes to use a face scrub but hates the stingy feeling a lot of them make you suffer through.  This one, on the other hand, is so gentle I've been able to use every day without a hint of irritation.  All June Jacobs products are paraben and preservative free and most of their collection is available right now on QVC.com!  So, so awesome.  Get shopping already!

Fall For Pumpkin

My favorite, favorite part of fall is all the different pumpkin products that come out once the weather gets a little cooler.  Starbucks has the Pumpkin Spice Latte and a fabulous Pumpkin Muffin, and then there's Pumpkin Soup and William Sonoma's Pumpkin Bread Mix...
