So while on one of my weekly drugstore runs the other day, I randomly found myself on the soap aisle, which never happens to me because I hate bar soap. It gets all gloppy in the shower and I find it more drying than body wash and so in general, I just don't use it. But I was cutting across to get to the half-price Easter candy and found myself surrounded by way more than bar soap. Little did I know that the aisle had all kinds of other soapy products. There's a whole subset of shower products I've been missing out on! I spent almost half an hour going through them all, trying to figure out which one of them I should try first, but when I smelled Softsoap's Body Butter Coconut Scrub, I knew I'd found a winner. It has the prettiest, most relaxing coconut scent, but it's not at all fleeting or subtle, like a lot of drugstore brands. It's full on, I could be sipping a fruity coconut drink on a tropical beach coconut. Soooo nice. I immediately put it in my basket. (I might've even taken a shower right when I got home to test it out, but I'm not admitting to anything). The name is a tiny bit misleading - while it does have little exfoliating beads in it, it's not really a scrub because they're too small and fine to do much exfoliation. But it does work really well as a body wash that also does a tiny bit of scrubbing, so that's fine with me. (And it wasn't drying at all, so that gives it bonus points from me, too). You get a generous 15 ounces in the bottle, so it'll last you a really long time, but the best part is the price. It was $4.49 at my CVS, but it's listed as $5.49 online. Either way, that's still really, really cheap for the magical coconut smell. Definitely a drugstore find worth telling your friends about. (Uhm, am I the only one who does that? Please tell me I'm not...)
