Not the Smackers I Remember

For my birthday this year my friend bought me something that I had loved when I was a teen - a lip gloss by Bonne Bell.  As excited as I was to receive it, I felt as though I would be disappointed when I put it on because it seems like a lot of things I was obsessed with in the late 80's don't seem to live up to hype if you check them out now ("Webster," "Growing Pains," "Sun-In").  Anyway, she gave me Smackers Lip Sparkler in Vanilla Frosting and it's surprisingly good.  Not the sticky lipgloss I remember.  Goes on smooth, smells like fresh baked cupcakes and leaves my lips with a nice sheen.  It does, however, have this strange grainy texture which I think comes from the sparkles in it.  Odd, but not distractingly annoying in any way.  Well worth the small price tag, I will probably go to Target this weekend and pick up some more flavors.  Ah, to be 13 again... No thanks.
