Blush On

As I've said many times here, blush is one of my least favorite products to buy.  But like any good makeup addict, I DO enjoy a nice blush palette.  I don't know why, but it just changes everything when they're all side by side in cute packaging. Which is why I'll definitely be picking up Benefit's new Cheekathon Blush & Bronzer Palette.  For $58, which yes, is a kind of a lot, I admit, you get four of their best-selling blushes and a bronzer.  And the best part is that they're all full-sized (making the price tag much, much more justifiable).  Soooo pretty, right?  I love all five of these shades, so I'm definitely going to have to get my hands on this one.  We all need a little Cheekathon in our lives!

The Perfect Mist?

I... cannot decide how I feel about Sephora's new Perfection Mist Airbrush Blush.  Like I've said many times, blush is one of my least favorite products to buy just because I find it kinda boring, so this might change all that (I haven't tried it or even seen it in person yet, so I reserve the right to change my mind if I do and it's awful).  Basically, it's a buildable, spray on blush that comes in four different shades (Such a Peach, Orange You Glad, Rose Without Thorns and Pink of Perfection) for $20 each.  I feel like this is one of those products that I'm either going to love or hate when I try it. It seems like it could be like, blush perfection, but it also seems like it could spray everywhere and give me clown cheeks.  I think this is one I'm curious enough about to buy soon just to see if it gets raves or boos from me.  Has anyone tried it?  Is it a must have or should I save my money for say, the new CLEAN scent?  Do tell!

Sheer Creme Colour for Summer!

Laura Mercier's new, and limited edition (eek!), Sheer Creme Colour is so stunning I am holding out all sorts of hope they'll release more shades.  Golden Pink is a sheer light pink shade with a golden shimmer to it.  It's extremely creamy and therefore super easy to blend (foolproof) and would look great on all skintones.  I've been using religiously on my cheekbones and also on my lids for a sunkissed look without a lot of fuss.  It's really the perfect product to add to your makeup bag for summer and I'm just bummed they don't have current plans to release more!  C'mon, Laura Mercier, I know you're reading this...

Cheek Pop!

Oooh, I love Clinique's new Spring blushes.  They are so cute I can't stand it!  Aside from the adorable flower imprint the colors are so pretty and perfect for warmer weather.  I honestly can't pick a fave and at twenty bucks I don't feel like I have to!

True Romantic Collection

Just in time for Valentine's Day comes the new True Romantic collection by bareMinerals!  I was stunned to like this collection as much as I do (usually pink shades aren't great on my skin, but this one is SO different).  Collection features READY eyeshadow quad in The True Romantic, Marvelous Moxie lipstick in Feel the Love, Swoon blush, Marvelous Moxie lipgloss in Heartbreaker, Lasting Line eyeliner in Always Charcoal and Marvelous Moxie lipliner in Liberated.  The shadow quad is ridiculously awesome.  I have been religiously pairing it with the Charcoal liner and the rose-ish smokey eye is an absolute stunner (I've gotten more compliments than I can count). Yes, the shades are delightfully feminine (pink-y/rose,  a copper-y and warm chocolate shades perfectly compliment each other) and they blend amazingly well.  I was very surprised at how pretty the colors are on and how lovely a smokey eye this quad creates.  The other stand-out in the new collection is Feel the Love lipstick which is a super-saturated rose color which looks so beautiful on!  The formula is fantastically moisturizing and feels so great on lips (not drying at all) so no need to wear lipbalm with it.  I also was impressed with the Swoon blush - a petal pink blush which doesn't wash out my very pale skin!  Lovely!  All around great collection and one of my favorite Spring launches for 2014.  Check it out!

Make Your Cheeks Pop

After insisting for years that blush was my most boring product to buy, in the past few weeks I've found several to get excited about, proving once again that I should never tell people anything because I always look stupid when I have to go back on my statements later.  Clinique's new Cheek Pop blushes are available in four different shades - Ginger Pop, Peach Pop, Berry Pop and Plum Pop - all fun bursts of color that look natural on and last all day.  Not boring at all!  My favorite is Peach Pop - it gives me the perfect natural flush - so worth the $21.  Check them out at Clinique counters now.

Valentine's Day Blush!

The NARSissist Cheek Kit by NARS is the perfect day Valentine's Day companion!  I love the idea you can pop this little badboy into your purse (with mini brush, of course) and you're ready to handle touch-ups on date night.  I just ordered it for myself as I think it's perfection to add on-the-go color when I'm hopping from meeting to meeting during the workday (y'know, the terrifying skip from valley to west side and back again).  Set contains:  - Highlighting Blush in Devotee (luminous alabaster sheen), Blush in Orgasm (peachy pink with gold shimmer), Bronzer in Laguna (diffused brown powder with golden shimmer) and Travel blush brush.  Retails for $49.00

Blush N' Go

I've said this a bunch of times here, but blush is easily my least favorite makeup item to buy.  It's just... boring to me most of the time.  Which is kind of stupid because when I don't wear it, I definitely notice a difference and wish I hadn't forgotten to put some on that morning.  Maybe I just don't find it as fun to buy as other things because when it comes down to it there just isn't as much of a color variety as with, say, eyeshadow.  (Glitters!  Mattes!  Shimmers!)  But I'm obsessed with Maybelline's new Master Glaze by FaceStudio Glisten Blush Sticks.  (Side note - what is FaceStudio?  Is that some new, fancy division at Maybelline?  Weird).  Anyway, these are awesome.  They're around $9 or so and come in six shades - so far I've bought Pink Fever, a bright pink, and Coral Sheen, the coral shade above, and I've been wearing them constantly.  They're just so easy.  It takes ten seconds tops to swipe and blend and the colors are really natural, but they definitely don't disappear once they're on.  On me, they last all day and I never have to think about it again after the morning.  This might be one of those products I need to own the complete set of so I don't have to think about buying blush again for awhile.  Thanks, FaceStudio.  Whoever you are...

Break Into This Vault

Anything that has the words "Collector's Vault" in it automatically makes me want to buy it, but I'm especially going to love it if it's a collection of a product I'm already obsessed with.  So if a spare $150 falls into my pocket that just HAS to be spent on makeup, it's definitely going to Tarte's new Cheek Stain Collector's Vault.  There are eight different stains in the set, in shades that run the gamut from peach to red, so all of your blush needs will definitely be covered once you take this baby home.  And I love the new packaging - it seems almost retro and it's very cute.  And it's an online only item, so you don't even have to move off your couch to buy it.  Genius! 

Currently Coveting

I need another blush less than I need anything (except maybe more lipstick) but how adorable is this new NARS blush palette?  Must.  Have.  Immediately.  It comes in two different shades (the one above is called Realm of the Senses) and they're both gorgeous.  They're kind of pricey at $41, but that's about par for the course for NARS, so it shouldn't surprise anyone.  Realm of the Senses has three shades in it - a flirty, sheer peach, a shimmering bronzed rose and a sparkling gold sand.  LOVE!
