Blush On

As I've said many times here, blush is one of my least favorite products to buy.  But like any good makeup addict, I DO enjoy a nice blush palette.  I don't know why, but it just changes everything when they're all side by side in cute packaging. Which is why I'll definitely be picking up Benefit's new Cheekathon Blush & Bronzer Palette.  For $58, which yes, is a kind of a lot, I admit, you get four of their best-selling blushes and a bronzer.  And the best part is that they're all full-sized (making the price tag much, much more justifiable).  Soooo pretty, right?  I love all five of these shades, so I'm definitely going to have to get my hands on this one.  We all need a little Cheekathon in our lives!

They're (Even More) Real...

I've been obsessed with Benefit's They're Real! Mascara since it came out, so learning that it's just been released in two new shades makes me very happy.  For all you other addicts out there, you can now get it in Black, Beyond Brown and Beyond Blue.  I almost never wear brown mascara just because black looks better on me and defines my lashes more, but I can totally get behind picking up the blue shade.  It's kind of retro and reminds me of when I first started experimenting with makeup in junior high.  (Ahh, memories...)  And even if you're not into either of the two new colors, the black shade is pretty damn perfect, so I highly recommend trying it out, if you haven't already.  Your lashes deserve it!  

Countdown To Love

Oh, I SO need this!  Remember those Advent calendars from when you were a kid when you counted down the days until Christmas by tearing off each day as it happened?  On the one we had, there was actually chocolate in each one, so not only did you get a day closer to presents when you tore one off, you also got delicious candy.  It made the countdown to December 25th even more fun.  And now I want the adult version of it - Benefit's Countdown to Love Advent Calendar.  Isn't it adorable?  And in this one, behind every day is something fun from Benefit.  I am so in!  Here's what you'll find in it:

So basically, you get tiny samples of a lot of their amazing products, which besides being totally fun, is also a great way to test out the ones you think you might want to buy before committing to a full-sized version.  Plus, there's also a bracelet, necklace and barrette included.  It's just the cutest gift ever and it must be mine.  Although since I don't live with my parents anymore and there's no one to stop me, I'm pretty sure I might just go crazy the day I get it and open all the little windows at once so I could play with all the products.  Would that be so wrong?

The Rich Is Back!

How badly do I want this new, limited-edition collection The Rich is Back! from Benefit?  So, so badly.  It's designed by Matthew Williamson and I just love everything about it - from the design on the package to the colors inside.  It's just all working for me.  I love the eyeshadow shades (how pretty is that teal?) and the whole set contains everything you'd need (except for maybe foundation) to create a complete look for a night out.  I must get my hands on this as soon as possible!

Faking It

Concealer is always one of my least favorite makeup items to buy... until I break out or have something I want to hide, and then I'm all about it.  And right now, I'm in dire need of hiding my undereye circles.  Don't ask me why, but they are super dark at the moment, like I'm staying up all night solving the economy instead of, you know, eating potato chips and watching the ID Network.  I can't figure it out.  So I decided to use my 15% Sephora discount to buy Benefit's new Fake Up Concealer to see if I could make myself look... less terrible.  And it worked!  I'm kind of obsessed with it now.

First of all, I love the packaging and the way the concealer twists up.  It makes it really easy to apply it exactly where you want.  It's also the first concealer I've ever used that had the concealer part in the middle of a ring of moisturizing ingredients, so it's virtually impossible for the concealer to cake because it's not getting applied over dry skin.  How has no one thought of this before?  It's kind of genius.  The concealer itself is awesome too - it comes in three shades (Light, Medium and Dark) and I bought the lightest shade because I'm so pale and it matches perfectly.  It blends in smoothlessly and really hides the dark circles - it makes me look like I've slept twelve hours instead of, uhm, seven or eight.  Very nice.  I also used it to hide some redness on my chin and it worked well at that too so it seems like a good, all-purpose concealer. Definitely worth picking up.  Fake it 'til you make it!

Sexiest Nudes Ever

I just saw this new palette from Benefit at Sephora last weekend and I'm dying to get my hands on it now.  How cute is it?  It's part of their World Famous Neutrals release, which includes three different palettes, but this one is by far my favorite.  It's called Sexiest Nudes Ever and has a really pretty combo of silver and pinky/purple shades, plus it's a great mix of their powder and cream shadows.  I would totally wear these shades all the time.  I do wish the packaging was a tiny bit less bulky because it seems a little unwieldy to travel with, but I can live with that if I have to. (I mean, let's be honest.  How many trips do I really go on?) I wish they'd had this at ULTA when I used my 20% off coupon because I would totally have bought it, but it seems like the palettes are all exclusive to Sephora.  Well played, Sephora.  Well played. 

Complexion Perfection

I really wish I could get a job naming products because I think I'd be really good at it.  It's creative, but not boring, and it seems really fun.  Case in point - Benefit's new How to Look the Best At Everything kit.  How to Look the Best At Everything is a great name!  It immediately made me want to buy it, even before I knew what was in it, but once I saw inside, I wanted it even more.  Here's what you'll find once you open it up:

Cabana Glama

I just saw Benefit's new Cabana Glama palette and I'm in love.  It makes me want to take a vacation immediately to some fantastic beach where I can sip cocktails under a huge umbrella wearing 50+ SPF.  It's actually a "best of" for their faux tanning products.  And for $36.00 you're crazy not to own it.   Set contains Some Kind-A Gorgeous in Medium; Hoola; Mini Cheek Brush; Eyeshadow palette in Peach Fizz, Bronze Buzz and Cocoa Pizzazz; and Posietint (poppy-pink tinted lip and cheek stain).

 

Hello Flawless!

I think my favorite score for Christmas had to be the fantastic Sephora giftcard I received in my stocking (yep, I still get a stocking!)  I couldn't waste any time spending the card so I dashed off to Sephora the day after Christmas and was overwhelmed with all the goodness.  Like my fellow ProductWhore, I fell in love (almost lust) with Sephora's new Prisma Collection of shadows (and unlike my fellow Whore, I actually bought a few and can attest to their fabulosity).  In addition to the shadows, I also picked up the Hello Flawless compact by Benefit which, if you haven't checked out, you definitely need to.  This little guy is a powder foundation which acts as a concealer (use the included sponge for heavier coverage) and as a foundation (sheer coverage if you use the included brush).  I love the way it feels on my skin (so silky smooth), doesn't cake at all and contains SPF15.  Hello Flawless makes my skin look, well, flawless and it's the perfect size compact to carry in your purse.  Honestly, no reason to not own this.

Grab Hervana Before It Goes

Okay guys, act quickly on this one.  For today only, Benefit is previewing their newest blush, Hervana, on their website.  It's a gorgeous four shades that blend together for an orchid-blossom blush with a soft satin finish.  Love this one!  If you don't buy it today, it won't be available again until 2012, so if you want to make all your friends jealous when you whip it out, grab it before it's gone.  Go now!
