Super-Soft Hands

I know this is not a new product, and I'm sure I'm not the first one to post about it.  But I just had to give props to Bath and Body Works Super-Softening Hand Cream because it's the best I've ever tried!  It contains paraffin which really helps to keep the moisture locked in and I have noticed a huge difference in my hands in just using this stuff for a week.  My hands are softer, don't dry out as much with the hand-washing and the scent is lovely.  This is the best hand cream ever and at only $12.00 it's a downright bargain.  If you haven't tried it, you're seriously missing out.

Cashmere & Silk

I was in BBW tonight (umm, their new collection of mixed fruit/floral scents are awesome and I was dying for their American Boardwalk candle collection) but what really got me was their True Blue Spa Cashmere and Silk Hand Cream!  I had used the Cashmere Hand Cream before but it had an annoying scent that would make me sick to my stomach so, even though it was super moisturizing, I couldn't use it.  Now, they have its sister - Cashmere and Silk - which is lovely!  The scent is slightly of shea butter, super moisturizing and doesn't wash off when you wash your hands!  Love, love, love it.  I actually bought a few items from the collection because I couldn't resist the whole Buy two, get one free promotion.  Love me some BBW.  Now I'll head back this weekend once I get my paycheck so I can get those Boardwalk candles!

Happy Halloween!

As the day of witches, ghosts and goblins is upon us, I wish you to eat an over-abundance of candy corn and chocolate goodies, down that entire package of ghost peeps and burn some delicious pumpkin candles to keep you festive.  I am seriously in love with two delicious pumpkin candles, neither of which is being discontinued after Halloween so you can still run out and purchase them to enjoy through Thanksgiving.  BBW has a Creamy Pumpkin candle and a Pumpkin Caramel Latte Candle - both are spectacular, scent an entire room and will make your guests excidedly wonder what you're burning that smells so delicious.

Gimme S'more

In my last jaunt to BBW (it's shocking how much great stuff they have now), I bought the S'mores candle because, well, I love the treat.  This candle smells incredible (just like if I was making S'mores over a fire pit) and fills the whole house after just a few minutes of lighting it.  I would like to pretend that the delicious smell satisfied my sweet tooth but I actually went ahead to Ralphs and bought stuff to make S'mores... in the microwave... as nature intended.  Hey, it could've been worse!  I could've bought the cake candle and then devoured a whole vanilla cake.  Well justified?!

Lead a Charmed Life

BBW's new collection, Charmed Life, is an interesting mix of vanilla musk, pear and guava and comes with a really cute label.  It's very sophisticated and definitely stronger smelling than their usual scents, so I'm having a tough time with this one.  I have to say I am a crazy BBW devotee and Charmed Life is unfortunately not a scent I can really get behind.  It has almost a strong floral undertone (despite the fact it is supposed to be pear and guava) and the scent lingers which is not a good thing for me as it's making me a bit nauseous as I type this.  Why doesn't BBW make their Frosted Cupcake scented oil into a lotion.  Seriously, that would make me freak out in excitement.  Does anyone else remember those amazingly awesome "cake" candles they used to have (a looooong time ago)?  The ones with the wax textured to look like icing, three wicks and you could buy the cute cake plate to go underneath?  Wow, I miss those.

Scentportable for Fall

Okay, I was obsessing over all the new holiday scents that are releasing from Bath and Body Works supposedly on October 3rd when I came across this adorable little guy.  Seriously, how freakin' cute is he?  And I especially love how perfectly chic the design is - definitely something I wouldn't hesitate having out on the counter (unlike my very unappealing Glade cones).  I need to own him and, really, while we're at it, I need to get my hands on all the fall candles - Cinnamon Sugar Donut, Spiced Madeleine, and Salty Caramel.  Food-scented candles always have me during fall and around the holidays.  Okay, I really need to focus away from my growling stomach - the Scentportable fox retails for $6.00 and comes in grey and also candy apple red.

Sin So Well

When I first saw the new Halloween products up on Bath and Body Works' website, I started a little mini rant in my head.  It went something like this...  "How is it time for HALLOWEEN products already?  It's July, people!  July!  That should be illegal.  We should have to wait until at least August before seeing such things.  What are these companies doing to me?!"  And then mid-rant, I stumbled upon the new Sinful Vanilla Body Lotion and stopped ranting and raving and started oohing and aahing.  You guys, it's a body lotion that's described as an "indulgent blend of vanilla bean, whipped marshmallow and vanilla cream."  How amazing does that sound?  I must have it immediately.  I have something in my car to return at the mall and I was going to wait until at least this weekend to do it, but now I am totally going after work today and crossing my fingers that the Halloween products are in stores as well as online.  I think I need a little Sin in my life.        

Fall Flavors

 

Uhm, how amazingly delicious do all the new Slatkin & Co.'s fall candle scents sound?

Forget candles, I want to drink a pumpkin caramel latte!  How have I never consumed one of those before?  I am so adding caramel to my pumpkin lattes when they come back to Starbucks in the fall!  (Although oddly enough, it's the only one not showing up on the Bath & Body Works site, so I'm not sure what's going on there).

But yeah, I love the sound of each and every one of these candles.  I pretty much either burn clean-scented candles or food-scented ones, so these will fit in at my place very well.  Especially because I'm trying to be healthier these days and eat a lot of fruit, but I've been oddly craving s'mores lately, so maybe if I burn the candle, that'll quench my cravings?  Yeah, let's go with that...
