I know, I know. It's been forever (well, two months) since I've posted anything and I feel terrible about it, but, you know, life. Sometimes it gets in the way of all the fun things. But now I'm back and not a minute too soon because look (JUST LOOK!) at the gorgeous new Wanted eye palette that NARS just released. When I opened the package I was just a "tiny' bit excited because I am so into the new mauve movement (yes, I'm calling it a movement) happening in the makeup world right now. I mean, how could ANYONE look at these shades and not want to play around with them? (Well, I'll answer that question by saying that my dad is visiting and he happened to be there when I got it and he literally nodded and said, "Nice," and then went back to the television. I'm so glad I'm not a man). The twelve shades are a mixture of matte, satin and metallic finishes, so you can create any sort of look you want with them - everything from daytime casual to nighttime shimmer. (I admit it, I'm partial to the metallic finishes because I am ALL about metallics right now). The shadows themselves have a new, pure pigment formula and you can really tell with how opaque they are in just one swipe. You don't need more than a little bit on the brush to get the effect you're looking for, which means this beauty will be with you for a long time. It's just really, really pretty, and the looks I've created playing around with it make me so happy. It's definitely making the journey back to the east coast for Christmas with me, which in my new "PACK LIGHTLY BECAUSE YOU CAN NEVER CARRY ALL YOUR BAGS WITHOUT CRYING" phase is high praise indeed. If you're as into this palette as I am, it's available as an early release today only on Sephora's website, but it'll be back on December 4th (it'll also be on narscosmetics.com starting on November 29th). Jump quickly at this one because it seems like something that could sell out if you wait too long, and we all know that makeup regret is the worst regret of all (well, other than "I just ate two Thanksgiving dinners in one day - how did that happen??" regret!) Take advantage of Cyber Monday and order this palette immediately!
