Urban Decay really knows how to throw a celebration! When they introduced their new Troublemaker mascara, they threw a big bash in downtown L.A. complete with spotlights, Nicole Ritchie as the mascara's new spokesperson showing off her (very) enviable wardrobe, an In N' Out truck, Cotton Candy Martinis, and multiple dance floors. Never let it be said UD doesn't know how to party! While we had a good time eating cheeseburgers (Double Double forever!) and rocking out, the most important thing was the mascara we all came to celebrate. If that had sucked, well, all the martinis in the world wouldn't make up for a bad mascara! Luckily though, as per the usual, it's fabulous. Its formula is supposed to volumize and lengthen as it coats your lashes and boy does it deliver! Here's the official description from Urban Decay:
UD Troublemaker Mascara’s formula volumizes and lengthens as it separates lashes. It’s infused with a combination of hollow silica and ultra-light fibers to boost volume without the extra weight. Vitamin E and panthenol nourish and condition, and a combination of polymers helps the mascara adhere to your lashes for lasting wear—no flaking, smearing, or smudging.
The custom-designed brush combs and separates lashes to make it look like you have more of them. Tiny precision hooks grab lashes to pull the product through for an instant lash-multiplying effect. The brush actually fans out lashes as it coats them, separating and curling each lash while laying down the perfect amount of mascara. And it’s designed to reach even tiny inner-corner lashes, no matter which way you hold it.
I have pretty good lashes to begin with, but this mascara makes them look WAY better than I was even expecting. My lashes seem thicker, longer, and have a ton more volume, without getting mascara everywhere or dooming me to the dreaded raccoon eyes. (Is there anything worse than checking yourself out in the mirror and realizing you've had enough black gunk under your eyes to look like a football player? Nope!) And on a purely shallow level, the prismatic container is really pretty and looks so chic on my makeup table. (Fine, my "makeup table" is my double sinks, but whatever! The tube still looks cool on it!) All in all, Urban's got another hit on their hands. And I'd say that even without the cotton candy!
