You guys, I seriously want to scream right now. For various reasons, I've been super crazy busy and haven't had a single spare minute to write about products, which is really annoying because I've tried a ton of good products lately. And tonight I had a very brief thirty minutes and I wrote this great long post on Matrix's new Air Dry BoHo line. I'm not gonna lie - it was funny and informative and I was sooo happy to be product writing again. And then, as I went to save it, my cursor somehow disappeared and I couldn't post it. Which didn't bother me as much as it should've because I thought Typepad saved draft as you went, so I just restarted my computer... only to find that nope, Typepad does not and it vanished into the internet ether. Gah!! I want to scream right now. So here are my slightly truncated thoughts on the new line (which is great).
The line consists of three Air Dry products - Air Dry Twisted Boho, which gives you curly-haired folks frizz-free curls with definition. Air Dry Chill BoHo, which lets you dry your straight hair with a smooth finish and no frizz, and Air Dry Wild Boho, which gives your wavy hair texture and volume. These are perfect for me right now because I'm going to be honest - when I'm so busy and sleeping so little, if I can curl up under the covers for ten more minutes and skip blowdrying my hair, I'm going to. Especially right now with the oppressive heat in L.A. Since I cut seven inches off my hair, it dries WAY faster anyway, and these just help the process. I can literally walk around outside for twenty to thirty minutes and my hair is almost totally dry (Ah, summer. Nature's blowdryer). I've been super into the Wild Boho one - it basically gives me the appearance of "bedhead," but without the crunchiness of hairspray. I can still run my hands through my hair without them getting stuck, even though it's full and volume-y. (I don't do it too much, mainly because I don't live in a Whitesnake video so why would I, but if I wanted to, I COULD!) I really love these. They make my mornings quicker and easier, give me the freedom from hot air blowing into my face when I'm already overheated, and leave my hair shiny, touchable and looking great.
And because I'm totally an enabler and no one should ever talk to me when they're on a product budget, I'm obligated to tell you that they're Buy Two, Get One Free right now at ULTA, which means that for $36, you can own all three of them. Such a bargain! Do it!
Note: Samples of these products were sent to me by a PR representative working with Matrix
