I got put off the nude nail look awhile back for a ridiculous reason, which was basically that I'd slammed my hand into a door and had two black and blue nails for the better part of a year. A year! (Seriously, how did it take that long to heal? It was crazy). So I got off the light colored nail train because you could see the bruising through them and it looked terrible. And by the time my nails healed, I'd just stopped even thinking of nude shades as an option. And then somehow, in the past year or so, I've been ALL about the nude look again. It's so chic and classic and looks good on any nail length (unlike my holy grail shade, Chanel's Black Satin, which starts to look way too goth for my tastes when my nails are longer). So of course I'm coveting Deborah Lippman's new Undressed Shades of Nude Set. For $34, you get six shades of nude - everything from a fair pink nude cream to an almond nude cream - which is a pretty damn good value. (I love you, Black Satin, but that's basically what you cost all by yourself). I haven't tried these specific shades yet, but I'm a big fan of Lippman's formula, so if this set ever hits shelves at my local Sephora (I'm on a strict no online ordering ban!) it'll be in my hands before you can say "Go Nude." Make it happen, Sephora Gods!
