You guys. YOU GUYS! Marc Jacobs has brought back the Rain Splash from years ago! I loved it so very, very much back then, but I'd somehow managed to forget exactly just how much until it came back and I got my hands on a bottle. And it literally made me gasp with excitement when I opened it up and smelled it again. It's just... perfect for someone who likes clean, fresh scents (ME ME ME!) It's a great daytime scent because it's so light (if I had to complain about something with it, it would be that because it's a splash, it doesn't have crazy good staying power, but you know, I can make my peace with that since I love the actual scent so much). Here are the notes in it (for those of you who care about those things) - Wet Cut Grass, Sparkling Wild Strawberry, Clementine Zest, Dewy Cypress, Tropical Rain Accord, Passion Flower, Sunshine Flower, White Orchid, Beech Amber, Tree Moss, Musk, and Teakwood. Whatever combination they use just makes me so happy. Even better, it's one of four Splash scents that Marc Jacobs has brought back and even though Rain is my favorite, all the others are really great too. My second Favorite is Cucumber (which I definitely wasn't expecting) but it's very similar to Rain in that it's fresh and clean and perfect for weekends or a day at work. I've been using it when I'm not using Rain (because I'm trying to make my bottle of it last as long as possible!) and a few of my friends have asked me what I'm wearing, which is always my test of how interesting a scent is. Third place is a tie between Pear and Cotton, with maybe a tiny edge going to Cotton (because again, I love the fresh scents). Cotton reminds me a little bit of the Clean scents, and Pear is sort of sweet and fruity (obviously). But really, even though my heart will always belong to Rain and Cucumber is a recent fling, you can't go wrong with any of these. But get on it now if you want one (or, you know, all of them...) - they're all limited edition and at $62 each, you'll definitely kick yourself if you don't get them before they're gone. I'm already plotting to figure out how many bottles of Rain I can stock up on before it starts to get insane. Four? Five? ALL OF THEM????
Note: Samples of these products were sent to me by a PR representative working with Marc Jacobs
