Life's A Beach

There's nothing that makes me laugh harder than my hatred of the beach while also loving beachy fragrances.  Literally, if you wanted to torture me, you would make me spend a day on the sand, but find me a fragrance that SMELLS like a day there and I can't buy it fast enough.  I especially love it when said fragrances are portable, so when I stumbled on this new rollerball fragrance oil from one of my favorite shopping destinations of all time, Fred Segal, I practically ran to the cash register at Sephora.  Ocean Air is scent 09 (of 10) of different fragrance oil blends that are meant to be used any way you choose - alone or mixed together in any of hundreds of combos - and I'm totally obsessed with it right now.  These are the notes in it - White Melon, Pear, Blue Mint, Cardamom Seed, Cyclamen, Sandalwood, Seagrass, Oakmoss, Musk - and the blend is so, so pretty.  It really does smell exactly like ocean air and it makes me ridiculously happy when I put it on. (Which I do a lot because I've been carrying it with me, so every time I'm stressed at work, I run to my bag and roll it on. It's probably a total waste of product, but it cheers me up so I'm not going to stop). It's $25, so not a crazy splurge, and I'm dying to pick up more of the scents so I can experiment with blending them together.  (Citrus Zest, I'll be buying you this weekend!)  Thank God I don't love all of them as much or my bank account would be taking a serious hit right now...
