I've said it a million times here, but as much as I hate actually being on the beach (well, during the day - the beach at night is all sorts of awesome) I LOVE the smell of the beach. It just instantly makes me happy. I realize it makes no sense, but you know, we like what we like. So when I walked into Bath & Body Works (my home away from home) last weekend and smelled the Beach Day candle AND saw that it was on sale, angels sang and I immediately threw three of them into my shopping tote. The three wick candles are normally $22.50, but right now they're only $12, so they're super cheap. The scent itself is amazing too - it's a mix of saltwater, lemon leaves and citrus musk and totally makes me feel like I live in Malibu and am lying in bed with the windows open to the beach air. So, so pretty and relaxing. It's almost like being on vacation (without having to pack or deal with the nightmare of the airport). It's so nice, there's a tiny part of me that almost questioned whether or not I should give the beach another try (don't worry, Kris, I decided against it - our ban on the sand stands!) Now I just have to find time to go buy another few before the price shoots back up or the scent disappears because I want these to last me all winter long. ("Winter" being the operative word here in Los Angeles!)
