I'm not always a huge fan of celebrity fragrances. Some of them smell... let's just say, less than appealing. But some of them are awesome (I still wear Jennifer Aniston's scent sometimes!) Katy Perry's new scent, Killer Queen, is definitely in the "I'll be wearing this next year" category. It's an interesting scent - with Top Notes of Wild Berry, Dark Plum and Bargamot, Middle Notes of Red Velvet Flower, Natural Jasmine Sambac and Rainbow Plumeria and Base Notes of Cashmeran, Natural Patchouli Heart and Liquid Praline, it's sort of a fruity floral. (Also, side note - what is Liquid Praline and how can I get my hands on it because it sounds ah-mazing. I kind of want an edible version to put in my coffee every morning). It reminds me of something I'd wear out at night (like to a Katy Perry concert, perhaps...?) On me, the florals are what stand out, but my friend spritzed it on the other day and on her, it was definitely more of a sweeter scent. I would say if you love the fruity/floral combo, this one is going to be right up your alley. The bottle is also extremely cool - it was inspired by a queen's scepter and is jewel-shaped, so it'll definitely stand out from the numerous other bottles also on your dresser. (Oh wait, is that just me? Someone really needs to stop my perfume addiction!) I love its red and gold colors and the top has a gold crown on it with a custom Katy Perry crest of regal cats, a music clef and hearts and dagger. Adorable. If I ever have a perfume, I'm going to need a custom crest on it as well. Maybe one made of shoes, makeup and magazines? That sounds about right...
