You guys, I've only recently discovered that only about half of all men wear cologne. How did I not know this before?! It's kind of embarrassing, although not as embarrassing as when I was in my twenties and learned for the first time that vacuum cleaners have bags in them. Totally blew my mind. (In my defense, my dad loves to vacuum, so I never had to do it as a chore at home and the reason I found out was because the vacuum cleaner I bought for my first apartment eventually broke when the bag that was in it when I bought it exploded because it was so full. Good times...) Anyway, I love a nice cologne on a man, so I think more men should definitely find a good one and stick with it. My new favorite is Polo Red from Ralph Lauren. It's described as a "woody, spicy" scent - the top notes are red grapefruit, Italian cedrat and red cranberry, the mid notes are red saffron, lavandin and red sage, and the base notes are red cedarwood, amber and coffee berry. I like the red grapefuit note in it - it makes it different from the "normal" colognes I'm used to, and I really love the fruity/spicy combo. I gave my bottle to one of the guys I work with and he really likes it, which is the unanimous verdict of the entire office, actually - so he's super happy that he has an entire bottle to use. (One of the perks of being friends with me!) The cologne itself was inspired by the Ralph Lauren Car Collection and the fiery red bottle mimics the sleek curves of a luxury car, so the bottle isn't too "girly." If more men wore it, the world would be a better place!
