For some reason, the color mauve always reminds me of something a grandmother would wear. I have no idea why, other than that the word itself just seems kind of... old person. (Also, my freshman year roommate in college, while a perfectly nice girl, was sort of grandma-esque and wore the shade ALL THE TIME and it drove one of my friends crazy, so there's that). However, SEPHORA by OPI's new Make the First Mauve nail color is totally intriguing me. It's described as an "opaque metallic mauve" and it looks super pretty in the pictures. I haven't seen it in person because it's an online only shade, but I think if I order anything else from Sephora's website, I might have to add it in because I'm really curious to see it on. It looks perfect for summer and I could see it on both my fingers and toes. Will this be the thing that finally changes my feelings for the word mauve? Stay tuned...
