I'm a long time fan of Marc Jacobs scents (I have a total obsession with all of the Splashes) so when I heard about his new fragrance, Daisy Eau So Fresh, I was super excited to try it. The description calls it "a whimsical interpretation of the original Daisy fragrance" and I totally agree - it's a lighter, flirtier version of the original (which I also like), making it perfect for the summer months ahead. What I really enjoy about this version is that it's got a lot of fruity notes in it - Natural Raspberry, Grapefruit, Pear, and Apple Blossom - so it's crisp and feminine without being overpoweringly floral (my least favorite kind of scent). It also has a subtle woody base, which gives it an interesting twist - it's a really pretty mix of notes that's very original. I was trying to think of another scent I own that I could compare it to, but I'm drawing a blank, which I consider a good thing because I have a ton of fragrances, so when one stands out, I'm always excited. I could see myself reaching for this all summer long because it's not too heavy for 95 degree weather, but it lingers on my skin after I spritz it on. And can we talk about how ridiculously cute the bottle is? The curves of the bottle would be striking and elegant even by itself, but the top totally makes the bottle for me because it's just too adorable with the bouquet of daisies on it. So cute! I've already decided I'm going to wear it at the end of the week to cheer myself up when our Los Angeles weather is again (AGAIN) supposed to get rainy and chilly. I mean, I did not move to Los Angeles to have to get bundled up every time I need to go outside. (Although it does at least let me alternate wearing the ridiculous amount of winter coats I've somehow ended up with. I had less jackets when I went to college in upstate New York! How did that even happen? And don't even get me started on the amount of scarves in my closet...) I kinda want to go buy the matching lotion as well so I can layer the scent and make it last even longer. (See? I really can find any way to justify a purchase).
