You know what I really love about Stila? All the cool palettes that they come out with. I know pretty much all brands do palettes, but I just always find that Stila has the ones that make me smile the most when I see them. And as a total celebrity news junkie (I'm not proud of it, but I'll just chalk it up to living in Los Angeles... and my US Weekly subscription), I'm so excited about their new Stila and E! Live From the Red Carpet Beauty Palettes. They're only $25 each, which is a great price because each of them comes packed with fun colors and even includes tips from celebrity makeup artist Sarah Lucero. Each palette also comes with an extra little gift, like a lip gloss or a mini mascara, to round out your look. Here are descriptions of the three available:
- Breathtaking Beauty Palette: Glowing skin and subtly glossy lips combine with rich purples, browns and nude shadows; includes Stila Lip Glaze in Guava (pictured above).
- Glamour Goddess Palette: Get a glamorous smoky look that will withstand late night after-party celebrations; includes Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Lionfish.
- Stunning Starlet Palette: It is all about the eyes with 9 essentials to create an alluring wink; includes Glamoureyes Mascara.
I bought the Glamour Goddess Palette yesterday after a ridiculous 30 minute negotiation with myself at ULTA because I really wanted to buy all three of them, but even with a 20% off coupon, I could in no way justify it. So then I had to reason out which one made the most sense, which probably made me look like a crazy person because I'm pretty sure I went back to the display about six times to swap palettes, each time muttering to myself as I stood there. I finally ended up choosing the Glamour Goddess palette, mainly because I'd really been wanting the Lionfish liner and that was what finally tipped the scales. I played around with it last night and I really like it - the palette isn't big, but it packs a lot of neutral shades in there that can be applied lightly for a day look or layered for a dramatic night time look. Definitely worth the $20 I paid after the coupon (and totally worth the $25 full price as well). If only I'd won the Mega Millions and could've bought all three...
The palettes are available now on ulta.com and on stilacosmetics.com.
