I have a serious, serious love for products that smell like dessert items. There's just something about the sweet scents that instantly captivates me. (I feel much the same way about actual dessert items. Just try and separate me from a piece of Tiramisu after it's been put in front of me. It's not pretty). So when I heard the description of Farmhouse Fresh's new Whoopie! Whipped White Velvet Shea Butter Body Cream, I knew I had to try it.
The creme was inspired by the southern treat Whoopie Pies, which are made with white velvet cream and moist layer cake, and it smells ridiculously good. It's really sweet and sugary, like icing, but there's a hint of warmth in it as well. (When I put it on at work, almost every single person who walked by my desk asked me what it was because it smelled so good). The cream is a blend of Shea and cocoa butters and also has aloe and Vitamins A and E in it, so it's a thick cream, not one of those watery lotions that I hate. (I mean, really, what's the point?) It definitely works well on dry skin (I've been using it on my elbows, which are super dry for some reason lately) and I can see the difference after only about 10 days of use. (Plus, I smell amaaaazing after I put it on). It also comes in a glass jar in the cutest vintage-inspired box - perfect for gift giving. A little goes a long way since it's so thick, so the $30 jar will last you a long time. The only drawback is that every time I put it on, I find myself craving an actual Whoopie Pie and I'm pretty sure they only exist in the south. (Or, you know, in my kitchen after I google the recipe tomorrow and attempt to make them myself...)
Note: A sample of this product was sent to me by a PR Representative working with Farmhouse Fresh.
