There are many things I envy about Jessica Simpson - her wardrobe, her first wedding dress (I'm assuming there will be more), and the fact that she has her own shoe line. But probably the thing I envy the most is her friendship with Ken Paves, because who doesn't want a professional hairdresser hanging out with them all the time, making sure that their hair looks great every day? (This is the same reason I would like to be friends with Bobbi Brown. I feel like even if she didn't do my makeup every morning, she would still glance at me on those days when I didn't look good and and be like, "Oh no, we must fix that." And then I would look good). Anyway... Jessica's BFF Ken now has his own line of hair products called the Healthy Hair Collection and I've gotten a chance to test out the Daily Shampoo and Daily Conditioner. Ken knows what he's talking about - I've been using them for the past week or so and my hair looks really good. It looks healthy, seems shinier than usual, and it's safe to use on colored hair, so I know I'm not stripping all the color out of it every morning. Both products also contain something called the Paves Healthy Hair Proprietary Complex, which gives it body and strength, and the conditioner has vitamins and sunscreen to protect it from the elements. (This is a great idea, especially for those of us who live in L.A., although it's currently raining here at the moment. And we had an earthquake a few hours ago. And some more cases of the Swine Flu. It's a great day to live in Southern California!) The Healthy Hair Collection also includes a bunch of styling products, like Healthy Hair Shine Serum and Healthy Hair Curl Balm, which I'd like to try out. It'll be the next best thing to having Ken on speed dial!
The Ken Paves Healthy Hair Collection is available at Henri Bendel, Ulta, and Trade Secret.
