Essie and OPI are my favorite two brands of nail polish. They both come in a great variety of colors, don't chip easily and aren't too expensive (I draw the line at paying more than $10 for a nail polish. Unless it's that new Chanel one that women are literally fighting over at the counter. I'd pay the $18 for that because I'm dying to see it if it's worth it). My favorite shade right now is OPI's I'm Not Really a Waitress. I know, I know, I'm not very original seeing as how it's one of their bestsellers, but there's a reason for that. It's the perfect shade of red. I've seen it on tons of different women and it always looks good. I love red polish, but some of them make my hands look scary, like I'm trying to imitate a crazy female villain from one of those "erotic thrillers" that plays on Cinemax at 3am. I'm Not Really a Waitress just makes me look classy and elegant. You know, until I trip over something and wind up sprawled on the ground trying to maintain my dignity. Then I'm on my own.
Mmmm... 'I'm Not Really a Waitress' is the classic red for any collection. But I am just loving 'Blackcherry Chutney' from the OPI India Collection... a blackened red that looks equally great on fingers and toes.
