I've had a crazy fear of bees ever since I was a kid and stepped on a nest belonging to a group of really angry yellow jackets. It was not a good experience that involved me screaming at the top of my lungs trying to outrun the swarm and a lot of stings when the running failed, so I tend to remember that every time I see honey and it severely limits my ability to enjoy using it in my tea or putting it on a dessert. Sad but true. So you can imagine my reaction when I realized that my mom had put one of these hand soaps by The Savannah Bee Company in my bathroom at their house. Luckily I didn't do anything crazy like throw it away or hide it under the sink because as much as I hate bees, this soap is really nice. It smells great, not overpowering like some bathroom soaps, and it's smooth and moisturizing. And it doesn't leave a weird scent on your hands - I can't stand soaps that are so strong they cancel out your perfume. I mean, I want clean hands and all, but if I pay lots of money for Angel, I want to smell like Angel, not cucumber melon. The company has other products too and is sold at Bath and Body Works stores - even better, the soap is on sale right now for half price, so it's only $6 a bottle. And I kind of remember reading somewhere that bees die after they produce a certain amount of honey, so I'm going to tell myself that buying this soap is a little revenge for the childhood trauma they caused me. It doesn't really make sense, but it'll probably make using it a lot more fun!
