I don’t think there’s anything more satisfying than searching the lipbalm bins at a drugstore. Armed with Chapsticks, Carmex and Blistex, there is always something new, cheap and fun to throw into my purse. This trip to Walgreens found me purchasing French Vanilla Softlips which has a SPF of 20. How great is that! However, pretty much where the praise ends for Softlips. The SPF is fantastic, the scent is yummy, but the moisturization is almost non-existant. I almost feel as though my lips are more dry after using it. Is that even possible?! Basically, it smooths on nicely and lasts all of two seconds before you realize your lips are desperately dry again. If you want a cheap lipbalm, stick with Carmex or Blistex. At least with those two brands, you know your lips will get proper hydration. Or make up your own pot of Aquaphor to shove into your bag. What I’m trying to say here is steer clear of Softlips if you want your lips to love you and be kiss-worthy.
