I really wish I could claim credit for the title of this post, but alas, I cannot. It is the actual (brilliant) name of the lip plumper from the new line Soap & Glory, available at Target. In fact, the awesome name is the reason I bought it in the first place because honestly, I need another lip plumper about as much as I need another pair of shoes, which is not a lot. But really, when you're at Target in the first place to return something you accidentally bought in the wrong size AND it's a Monday night AND the traffic just to get into the parking structure is backed up all the way down the block, I say you deserve any lip proudct you damn well want. So... does it work? Well, I'd have to give this lip plumper a resounding thumbs up. My lips were definitely bigger after using it, and at only $10, it's a lot cheaper than any of the ones Sephora sells. Of course, it plumps with a price and since it's not dollars, it has to be something else - and that something would be comfort. When I first put it on, I didn't feel anything, so I figured I was in the clear. I was (as usual) too optimistic. A minute later, I started to feel that familiar tingling. After about five minutes, my lips felt like they were on pins and needles, like I'd been sitting on them during an especially long movie. I wouldn't say it was pain exactly, but then again, my sister runs screaming from DuWop Lip Venom and I can put that on and barely even notice it, so I may not be the best person to ask. And really, if a product works, as long as it's not drawing blood, I'm fine with it. It's definitely uncomfortable, although the feeling fades fairly quickly, leaving behind the appearance of bigger lips. Sexy Mother Pucker comes in three different shades and a clear gloss that you can layer over any of your lipsticks to get a plumper smile. So I guess what we've learned tonight is that I don't mind pain as long as I'm getting something out of it. Wow, that sounds kind of dirty. Not like that, Mom, I swear...
