I was just introduced to Skindinavia, a brand outside of Boston (my home!) that makes the "Makeup Finishing Spray" (a spray which keeps makeup intact for up to 16 hours apparently). While I haven't checked that out yet, I have had the pleasure of checking out a brand new Summer Moisturizer they are releasing on April 15th. This lightweight moisturizer comes in a sunscreen-like spray bottle which you spritz on your face to hydrate, cool and protect the skin in the hot summer months. It contains an SPF 8 and is paraben and oil-free. This moisturizer is definitely meant for people with oily/combo skin because it does not provide adequate hydration for dry skin since it's so lightweight. While I was initially disappointed it doesn't have a higher SPF (you want at least a 15 to protect the face) I realized you're better off applying a cream moisturizer and then bringing this spray along for cool-offs on a hot day anyway. I wouldn't want to rely on the inaccuracy of a spray to protect my delicate facial skin, but a spritz of Summer Moisturizer will definitely cool the skin and offer a bit more protection for someone with oily skin. This won't replace your regular facial moisturizer, but it's a good option for cooling the skin. It will retail at www.skindinavia.com for $39.00.
Note: A sample of this product was sent to me by a representative working with Skindinavia
