This Thursday and Friday, August 25 and 26, the one and only Philip B is going to be on HSN LIVE to share tips on how to make our hair look fantastic. I, for one, am so excited to hear what he has to say as I want supermodel hair! Don't we all deserve that?!
Philip B has the yummiest Chocolate Milk Body Creme that makes me want to eat my own hands when I put it on. Chocolate and Vanilla extracts are blended with cocoa butter to create this luxurious lotion which vaguely reminds me of the Wicked Hot Cocoa lotion Bath and Body had years ago. Philip B's Chocolate Milk, however, sinks into skin immediately and leaves skin feeling soft and smelling sweet. Great stocking stuffer for only $10.00!
Note: A sample of this was sent to me by a PR representative working with Philip B
It's not easy to keep my hair looking good in the summer. Between the sun and the sand and the ridiculous Los Angeles heat that keeps it sticking to my head all day, I'm always on the lookout for any help I can get. Right now, that means using Philip B's pH Restorative Toning Mist. It's super easy to use - you just spray it on your wet hair after you get out of the shower and then I like to just sort of scrunch it in, just to make sure that it's all evenly distributed. Then you dry and style your hair like normal. It's sort of a multi-purpose formula to keep your hair looking good - it's a detangling toner, but what's really cool is that the Apple Cider Vinegar in it helps to adjusts the pH of tap water, which lets the cuticles of your hair seal tightly, giving you smooth hair that has no tangles or frizz. (I'm a big fan of detanglers because sweaty hair = knotty hair). It also leaves your hair looking shiny and healthy, PLUS you can spritz it on anytime during the day when your hair needs a little refreshing. (I like to throw the little bottle in my purse when I know I'm going to be running around all day). It's like a Johnson's No More Tangles for grownups!
I love the smell of peppermint (the day Starbucks puts out their Peppermint Mocha during the holidays is my favorite coffee day of all). So it makes sense that I've been wanting to try Philip B's Peppermint & Avocado Volumizing & Clarifying Shampoo for awhile now. I've heard so many good things about it, but I was kind of scared that it wouldn't live up to the hype and well, life is hard and there are enough things to be disappointed in besides my shampoo, so I sort of put off trying it. Bad move, because I finally did and it is awesome. It smells really strongly of peppermint, so it wakes my lazy self up when I use it in the morning (always a plus!) but the formula is what I really love. Even though it's safe to use if you color your hair, it's a really powerful cleanser. (It has 16 pure plant extracts, 11 essential and carrier oils, and 2.3% pure peppermint oil). Apparently, those things let it work as a local anesthetic "to soothe scalp tension, stimulate circulation, and leave your scalp feeling tingly fresh and clean." So true. My hair felt squeaky, squeaky clean when I used this in the morning, and it was really shiny too. The only drawback that I could even remotely find is that it's pretty expensive - an 11.8 ounce bottle will set you back $40 - but at least unlike some other pricey things I've tried, I really like the result. I think a good plan is to treat yourself to a bottle and then ration it out, using it on mornings when you really need a pick me up or nights when you have a big event. It'll make the magic last that much longer. (That's what they mean by economizing right?)
Remember how great chocolate milk was when you were a kid? I swear, I drank one every day. And now that I'm older, I've transferred that love to chocolate scented products (and expensive lattes at The Coffee Bean, but that's a whole different story). So you know I'm dying to get my hands on this Philip B Limited Edition Chocolate Milk Gift Set. It comes with their acclaimed Chocolate Milk Body Wash & Bubble Bath as well as a Chocolate Milk Body Crème, so you can layer yourself with chocolate goodness. Both products have pure, ultra-hydrating plant essences with chocolate and vanilla extracts, so they're super moisturizing, and they come packaged in an adorable box. It would be a great hostess gift - instead of giving her chocolates that'll be gone in a few hours, give her this set that will keep her clean and smelling great for weeks to come. You'll be the first one to get an invite to her next party!
The Chocolate Milk Gift Set retails for $62.50. You can find it at PhilipB.com.
