My love for Jo Malone is well documented. Besides the fact that I tell everyone, there are several (!!) bottles of it on my dresser, and to this day it remains the only scent that I've literally spent an entire DAY chasing. (It was when I was on a trip to London before her products were available in the US and it severely cut into my valuable pub time, so you can imagine how much I covet the products). But somehow, up until a few weeks ago, I'd managed not to smell the
Orange Blossom Cologne. (I know! Blasphemy!) I was wandering around a department store and spritzed it on and fell immediately in fragrance lust. It's so, so gorgeous, you guys. The top notes are Clementine Leaves, Dewy Greens, and Lemon Grass, the middle notes are Orange Blossom and Water Lily, and the base notes are Syringa and Orange Flower Petals. It all combines to result in this fantastic fresh floral scent with a twist of citrus that lingers on the skin. I'm a HUGE citrus fan, but what I love about this cologne (Jo Malone's top seller!) is that it's citrusy, but not overwhelmingly so, and it's fresh, but not in a CLEAN perfume sort of way (another one of my favorites). It's light enough for day, but intriguing enough to wear out at night too, and it's definitely an original scent, so you won't have to worry that everyone else will also be wearing it. I had it on today and the girl who made my caramel latte at The Coffee Bean actually commented on it (I was kinda hoping she'd give me my coffee for free because $4.50 for a caffeine boost is hard to justify, but sadly, she did not). The best part about this scent? It comes in so many different varieties, I never have to be without it. I can use the cologne, the bath oil, the shower gel, the body lotion, the body creme... There's even a shampoo and conditioner in the scent (I have to get my hands on them!) And on days when I'm too lazy to shower, I can even burn the candle (as soon as someone buys it for me. Hint, hint...)
