Blue!

When BBW discontinued their water fragrances years ago (anyone else obsessed with Fresh Waterfall Mist?) I was crushed.  They then released their Dancing Waters collection which made me mildly happier, but I was still longing for the old scent I had fallen head over heels for.  Well, H2O+ clearly heard my cries because they just released their new fragrance Blue!  The fragrance actually makes me think of how Fresh Waterfall Mist and Dolce & Gabbana's Light Blue would smell if they made a baby (absolute watery-floral perfection).  This incredible scent is a delicious blend of watery peony, rosewood, nectarine and bergamot.  I adore the way the scent smells on my skin (so fresh!) and love the pricetag (only $42.50 for 1.7 oz).  Love this and would recommend to anyone who has a thing for water scents, like I do.

Take Me To The Sea

I find it constantly funny that for someone who hates the beach as much a I do, I gravitate toward products that smell like it.  Anything fresh instantly makes me happy, so it goes without saying that I'm all about H20+'s Sea Salt Collection.  Made up of a variety of products that all smell clean and fresh (kind of like the salty air that blows in from the ocean, but with a little bit of a citrusy edge to it) the entire line is great.  When I'm in the shower, I start off using the Sea Salt Body Wash, which contains sea salts that help eliminate toxins and replenish depleted nutrients.  It lathers up nicely and leaves my skin feeling super clean and soft.  I also like that it's really gentle - I have sensitive skin that can get dry and flaky and the Sea Salt Body Wash didn't irritate it at all.  Every other day or two, I follow that up with the Sea Salt Skin Smoother.  This product is recommended for intense exfoliation and it lives up to its claim.  The European sea salts work like magic to help smooth out the dry, rough areas of my skin and it's just oily enough not to sting or scrape away at my skin.  (Is there anything worse than a scrub that actually hurts?  Who wants to pay money for that?)  The oil in it actually helps to keep skin hydrated too - when I wash the Skin Smoother off, my skin feels soft, not dry, which makes it ready for when I get out of the shower and put on the Sea Salt Hydrating Body Butter.  The lotion is packed with natural coconut and vegetable oils as well as vitamins C and E, so it's full of all sorts of moisture building ingredients.  It goes on easily and blends right in - no greasy residue at all.  The entire three step process takes barely any time at all and it makes my skin feel SO great.  It's soft and clean and leaves it smelling light and fresh, which blends perfectly with most of the perfumes I wear on a daily basis.  There's even a cute little Sea Salt Purifying Collection travel-sized kit - totally convenient for when I travel.  See?  With products like this, who even needs the beach? 

The Sea In My Shower

I am not a fan of the beach.  I know, I know, I live in Los Angeles, so I'm supposed to love the beach.  Well, I just don't.  I burn within two seconds of stepping on the sand and hate nothing more than lying around in the hot sun, bored out of my mind.  However, I love the smell of the beach, so I'm usually conflicted.  I am such a complex person, clearly.  If I can capture the smell of the beach without having to leave my house, I am thrilled.  H2O+ has a wonderful shower gel called Ebb Tide that does just that (allows me to enjoy what I love about the sea without getting sand in my bathing suit).  The gel is really moisturizing, which surprised me (contains Aloe Vera and Vitamin E) and works up an awesome lather.  The scent is refreshing, but doesn't stick to skin so you can wear perfume without the fear of two scents mixing (oh, the horror).  The tube is really big and only costs nine bucks, so I consider that a bargain.  So when my friends all take a Saturday and fight the crowds to sunbathe, I just cleanse myself in Ebb Tide and lounge on my couch reading about Britney's latest antics.

Hand it Over

There is nothing more satisfying (okay, I'm sounding dramatic here) than having a hand cream that is completely non-greasy, sinks in quickly and is only lightly fragranced so it doesn't interfere with your perfume or body lotion.  The Hand and Nail Cream by H2O+ is exactly all that and more.  This wonderfully light hand cream really moisturizes and helps to repair even the most red and chapped of hands.  I took it on a ski trip with me and it saved my hands from pain and suffering (and my elbows, in fact)!  It smells fresh like clean laundry but is by no means overpowering.  I only smell it if my hands are near my face, which I really like.  That way when I'm wearing my expensive Viktor and Rolf perfume, I will still smell that over my hand cream.    I have been consistantly carrying the Hand and Nail Cream in my bag for years.  It's no surprise that it wins magazine award after magazine award year after year.  This stuff is simply delightful:  simple-yet-elegant packaging and inexpensive pricing make this cream a must-have in every woman's tote bag.

The Eyes Have It

I have been a huge fan of H2O Plus Skincare for years.  It seems as though they really know what they're doing with skincare and the Sea Results Eye Mender Plus cream is no exception.  A new incarnation of their previous Eye Mender (which I have been obsessed with - I'm talking "stalker-like" obsession - for years) is just as wonderful, if not more wonderful than it's predecessor.  This cream smells fresh and goes on light and sinks into your skin almost immediately.  I've always had issues with the greasiness of eye creams - the fact that you put it on and it's like an oil slick beneath your eyes.  But, this one, I'm happy to report, is nothing like those others.  It really softens the eye area without being greasy or sticky.  Beware crows feet, I will fight you with every ounce of my being!  Too bad I wasn't this passionate about working out and eating right.

minty goodness

I love the H2O+ line and for some reason I had forgotten about them.  It wasn’t until I was looking in my cabinet for a bottle of body wash that I came across the yummy delicious Mint Ice Body Wash, and remembered how much I adore this line.  The wash smells strongly of peppermint which really gets into your nose in the morning to help wake you up, and stays on your skin for the better part of the day.  Fantastic lather and almost makes my skin tingle with cleanliness.  Really a must have in anyone’s shower, especially around the holidays when we all could use a good minty pick-me-up.  Check the line out online or at a retail location.  You’ll be jealous if everyone else smells like peppermint this Christmas and you smell like… well, you.
