Ointment You're Not Embarrassed To Have In Your Bathroom

200_8I realize that this may not, in fact, be the most exciting beauty review but I just have to write about my Aquaphor.  It’s only fair an ointment so wonderful get its own review on the site.  Nothing else in my bathroom conquers so many of my skin issues than my pot of Aquaphor.  I use it on my chapped hands, my chapped lips and even my razor-burned legs and bikini line.  This amazing ointment soothes my skin, and is really a Godsend for my extremely dry lips.  I just slather it on my lips before bed every night and in the morning my lips are happy as if a moisturizing fairy came by while I was sleeping.  In fact, I love it so much I bought a little plastic container, scooped some in and carry it around in my bag for emergencies.  They also just came out with an Aquaphor for baby, which I’m guessing is just as fantastic.  I’ll either have to buy it and just admit it’s for me, or I’ll have to borrow someone’s baby to make the purchase more legit.

Save my hands!

200_5With the somewhat sudden temperature change (as drastic as it gets for L.A.) my hands have taken an awful beating. The delicate skin on my hands is cracked and chapped and actually hurts.  Nothing like having some red knuckles, people.  And while I love the scented lotions, they make the dry skin on my hands burn even more.  So, I picked up a tube of Eucerin Plus Intensive Repair Hand Crème and am completely impressed.  Lightly scented and not greasy at all, this lotion is a Godsend for anyone who suffers from chapped skin on the hands.  Being an east coast girl from birth (up until my move to California), I know this would’ve saved me from many a dreaded winter in New Hampshire.  After applying the lotion, my hands still feel moisturized hours later, which is fantastic.  Also, no burning or stinging at all!  My knuckles are very happy.  I guess I can go back trying to be a hand model again.
