She's just so creamy

The people at Dove have created a great, new product - Creamy Oil Body Wash.  While I can't seem to find any "oil" in the ingredients, I am impressed with this stuff.  Wonderful lather and it actually made my skin soft enough that I didn't even have to use a lotion when I got out of the shower - talk about conserving time!   Creamy Oil Body Wash comes in three levels of moisture, but the problem is each level has a different scent.  I don't like that Dove controls what I smell like based on the lack of moisture in my skin.  I mean, I could just use the scent I like, but will I be getting enough of the moisturization?  It makes me feel bullied, and just like in fifth grade when Michael Lawrence would threaten to take my lunch, I feel the need to speak up so I won't feel cornered anymore.   I chose the best scent, Cherry Blossom, but it was only the medium moisture level.  I really know I would benefit from the top tier of moisture, but the scent of that one reminded me of wet carpet (you don't think you know the smell of wet carpet until you smell something and go "Oh, yeah, that's wet carpet."  All in all, though, if you can find a scent you like, check out the wash - your skin will thank you for it. 

There is No Lumination Here

So, once again, I find myself staring at a product I’ve purchased that is about as useful as breath mints for dogs.  The Leave-In Luminizing Mist by Dove was listed in about every magazine as being the best leave-in for color-treated hair, so naturally, I went to Target to find the product that would save my lusterless colored hair.  The spray smells nice, but that’s about where it ends.  It doesn’t make my hair shiny, doesn’t take out the tangles and it certainly doesn’t make my hair silky.  I’m not exactly sure what the beauty editors saw when they used it, to be honest.  Perhaps they had thrown back a few glasses of wine before they tested it.  Actually, I know that can’t be the case because I just guzzled back some gewurztaminer and my hair looks exactly the same as it did before I went to town on it with the spray.  Guess I’ll just drink more wine until I’m no longer mad at this Luminizing Mist.
