It Really Is Nice and Easy

News flash:  My gray hairs are spreading rapidly on my head!  I can hardly talk about it without choking up.  They're like little silver threads that reflect the flourescent lights perfectly in my office bathroom. Box_114 Gasp!  In an effort to dye over them and make it last, I tried Nice and Easy haircolor by Clairol.  On the box it says that it will cover 100% of all grays and will last up to six weeks.  I have to say I am super happy with the results.  The haircolor looks extremely natural and has wonderful highlights to it.  I know that some other brands can make your hair look dull and lifeless, but Nice and Easy actually looks beautiful!  And it covers every single little gray hair with very little effort.  It does instruct in the pamphlet that you need to leave the stuff on for up to 45 minutes to make sure that all grays are covered, but if you can just watch TV or read a magazine the time will pass quickly.  I especially appreciate the "color blend technology" which I'm sure is just a fancy phrase for "natural looking color" but I bought into it completely.  My hair looks fabulous!  Like any haircolor, it will fade over time, but the geniuses at Clairol have created a haircolor extender gloss that I will be purchasing and testing out when my color starts to fade.  So far, though, a few weeks later and my color looks as brilliant as it did when I first dyed it.  My hair looks young again - phew!

dyeing for a new haircolor

Box_44Ever since I was a teenager I have loved to change the color of my hair.  My strands have been every shade imaginable and some shades even hard to imagine.  Who knew that one little box could change my look so drastically!  Now that I’m older and less adventurous with my haircolor, I focus on getting my hair the perfect shade that looks natural and covers up my premature greys.  I have tried just about every product on the drugstore shelf and while I have a few favorites, I’m going to focus this article on just one of them:  Hydrience by Clairol.  This product is wonderful for a few reasons.  First, it comes with a nice Pantene pre-treatment for your hair to add in some moisture before you dry your hair out a bit with color.  It’s fantastic because not only does it make my hair soft even after coloring, but it smells great so it helps to cover up the scent of the dye.  Hydrience not only covers up greys, but has a wonderfully natural sheen to it.  You wouldn’t be able to tell that my haircolor is out of a box.  Plus, with the Pantene after-treatment conditioner, my hair has a great bounce to it.  I’m sure men had a hard time concentrating at the polls tonight with my gorgeous locks nearby.
