Hunger For Gorgeous Nails

So unlike most of America, I haven't read The Hunger Games trilogy yet.  I know, I know...  I even have all three books already because I know I'm going to love them, I just haven't gotten around to actually reading them yet.  But that doesn't mean I'm not super excited about the new China Glaze collection inpsired by the film.  The 12 new shades will be released on March 1st in anticipation of the movie's release later that month and I kind of love them all.  They're fabulous, right?  Especially the glittery shades and Foie Gras, which I love.  I can't wait for March 1st.  (Which coincidentally, is my mom's birthday.  Is it weird if I get them for myself to celebrate?)

China Glaze Can Haunt Me Anytime

If you'd asked me last week if I thought I would've liked any of the China Glaze Halloween nail polishes, I would totally have said no.  It's just not a holiday that I care about that much anymore (I know, I know, I'm a party pooper...)  But then I stumbled upon the Halloween display at ULTA on Sunday and I was instantly sold on a few of the polishes, none more so than Haunted.  I've been loving super dark shades lately and this one is gorgeous.  It has a black base with tons of tiny silver glitter in it - so trendy and chic and perfect for fall.  My nails are actually kind of short at the moment due to an unfortunate run in with a particularly hard to open FedEx box, but I actually think Haunted looks better on them now than it would've if they were longer.  I can so picture this shade staying in heavy rotation on my nails for months to come - it's almost like a neutral, in a weird sort of way (especially considering the amount of black I wear).  

Haunted is a limited edition and based on the fact that I grabbed the last one from the display that had only been up for a few hours at my ULTA, it's selling out quickly, so if you want one and see it, I highly suggest you grab it and sprint to the nearest register.  And hey, if you break a sweat, it counts as cardio.  Win win!

Vintage Vixens

 

I am so into nail polish lately.  I've been changing my manicure color like, twice a week these days, which is very unusual for me.  But it's not my fault - there are just too many great shades out there for the fall and not enough time to use them all!

China Glaze's contribution to fall shades is called Vintage Vixen and is made up of 12 polishes meant to capture the essence of 1940's glamour.  It's a really interesting mixture of classic shades and brand new versions of old favorites like Ingrid, my new favorite "neutral."

If you're a fan of purples, First Class Ticket is gorgeous.  It's definitely going to be my next pedicure color (well, if it's not Bogie.  I can't decide!)  I love the shimmer in all these and how perfect they'll look on a crisp fall night.  I want them all!
