I don't know why I don't write more about Origins because I do use a lot of their products and I've had really good success with them. And last night when I was putting on their Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief Soothing Face Cream, which I've been using so long I'm about 70% done with the jar, it occurred to me that I hadn't written about it either. I've been using it at night after whatever serum is my choice of the moment and it's really gotten my skin through the winter. (And by winter, I mean the week of cold weather we had here in L.A. and the two weeks I spent on the east coast over the holidays. It was rough. My skin is just not used to walking around in snow anymore). The moisturizer is meant for sensitive skin that can get red when irritated and it really is soothing. It moisturizes my skin without irritating it at all, which is key when my skin is freaking out a little. (And don't worry, it does not smell like mushrooms at all. For some reason, I had that in my head before I opened it, which is kind of stupid because why would anyone make their facial moisturizer smell like mushrooms?) It's a little pricey at $61 for the jar, but I've been using it for months now and still have a decent amount left, so it's definitely not something you'll have to re-buy every month, which makes it much better. It's definitely more of a heavy moisturizer, so probably not good for those of you with oily skin, but if you have sensitive dry or combination skin, give this one a go. It might solve all your problems.
