For me, this is the summer I rediscovered my love for cream shadows/liners. I've been obsessed with MAKE UP FOR EVER's Aqua Creams since I tried them, and now I'm adding Tarte's emphasEYES ($22) to my must have list. EmphasEYES come in 5 shades (so it's easy to justify buying them all) and each shade even comes with a double-ended brush that actually works great for application (unlike most of the brushes that come with your makeup purchases). I love, love, love the formula. It's infused with micronized clay and has Tarte's waterproofing agent in it, so once you apply and blend it, it stays forever without wearing off or smudging. (I put on one shade I was testing in the morning and then ended up going to the gym later that afternoon wearing it and even through 45 minutes on the treadmill, it stayed put remarkably well. My eye makeup looked much better than the rest of me by the time I left). I tried two of the shades - Bronze and Indigo - and they'll both definitely be on my eyes all summer. (Bronze for everyday use, Indigo for going out at night). I'm not super skilled at using them as liner yet, but as shadows they're a total slam dunk for me. I'm sort of coveting the Plum shade now, but ssshhh, don't tell my Plum Aqua Cream. I wouldn't want it to get jealous...
