It's getting hot in Los Angeles again, which means I take more showers and wash my hair more often (Yes, I know that's bad for your hair, but I'm incapable of showering without shampooing. It just feels gross to me). The problem with washing my hair that much is that it starts to get dry. Really dry. Like, starts to remind me a little bit of straw dry. Not good. So I decided to try something more extensive than just my regular conditioner - Yes to Carrot's Hair & Scalp Moisturizing Mud Mask. It's a simple process - you just apply it to your towel-dried hair, leave on for 12-15 minutes (or longer if you get distracted by "The Bachelor: London Calling" like I did) and then rinse it out. (The mask contains extracts of carrot, pumpkin, orange and honey, and is full of Beta-Carotene, Alpha-Carotene and Vitamin E, so you know it's going to be moisturizing). I've used it twice so far this week and I'm really liking the results. My hair seems shinier, with more bounce to it, and it definitely feels softer to the touch. The mask also smells really good - fresh and light, and the scent lingers on your hair after you rinse it out, which is a nice bonus. I also love that it's a brand you can get at your local drugstore - the easier it is for me to find a product, the more likely I am to use it. (And really, who doesn't love a fun trip to the drugstore?) My mom will be so happy to hear that I'm finally taking her advice and buying vegetables.
Yes to Carrot's Mud Mask retails for $12.99 and can be ordered online here.
