Every time I've seen the line of hand creams by Camille Beckman, I've been at a Hallmark store and a bunch of old ladies have been crowded around, dipping their fingers into the testing jars. So, for that very fact, I have always strayed away from the little jars with the flowers on top. Then, this past weekend I was in this tiny boutique shop where I came upon the entire Camille Beckman line displayed before me… with fresh testers and no elderly in sight. So, I decided I had to dive in and check them out. Most of the fragrances are floral (which I’m not a fan of), but I have to say I fell in love with the French Vanilla. The stuff is amazing and I can see why people push and shove to get their hands on it. French Vanilla smells like a fresh baked cake and the scent lingers for hours. The cream is extremely moisturizing and a little goes a very long way. While it doesn’t sink in immediately, it doesn’t really matter because you’ll love just inhaling the vanilla for a while longer. It’s technically a hand cream, as the label states, but it’s definitely thick enough to use on the body. I covered my elbows and feet with the stuff and it works like a charm. While I still find the packaging a little on the old lady side, I’ll admit I’m a new fan. I’m not saying I’ll be shoving the elderly to get to the lotion, but I will make sure I always have a pot of the stuff in my bag.
